Double Stackers
Double Stackers
Two pallets per run. On long, fixed routes this halves the number of runs.
- 1.8 – 2 tonnes
- Two pallets
- Shuttle transport
- Up to 2.9 m
- Fully electric
Two pallets per run
Double stackers are pallet trucks and stackers that carry two pallets at once, either one above the other or one behind the other. Their purpose is not to reach high racking but to double the number of pallets moved along the same route.
Their real working area is the long, fixed transport runs between the loading bay and the buffer store, between production and the warehouse, and between packing and dispatch. The longer the distance, the greater the gain.
- Half the runs: Does the same work in half the number of runs.
- Long distances: The advantage grows with distance and disappears over short ones.
- Medium height: Stacking options up to 2.9 metres.

Which work it suits
Long Shuttle Runs
Transport repeated continuously between two points inside the warehouse.
Dispatch Preparation
Heavy pallet traffic between the packing station and the loading bay.
Production Feeding
Regular material flow between the warehouse and the production area.
Unloading Vehicles
Unloading operations with a high number of pallets.
Which steps of the chain it covers
The gain in this class shows up on long, repeated transport runs.
What decides the choice
With a double stacker, the choice follows from how the pallets are to be carried.
Load Arrangement
Models carry the pallets either one above the other or one behind the other; which one fits depends on the pallet type and the load height.
Stand-On Driving
On long routes the operator rides the truck, so the time spent walking disappears.
Straddle-Free (SF)
Removes the support leg problem with closed-base pallets and special containers.
Compact Body
Body dimensions that still allow manoeuvring in a narrow aisle despite carrying two pallets.
The STILL double stacker range
Seven bodies from 1.8 to 2 tonnes, with different load arrangements and leg types.

The truck on its own is not the solution
The return on the investment depends on how well the truck fits your warehouse and your process. That is where we start.
Site Analysis
We do not recommend a truck before we have measured your aisles, racking, order profile and shift pattern.
Kartepe Workshop
Maintenance, repair and overhaul are carried out by our own technicians in our own workshop in Kartepe, an industrial region about an hour east of Istanbul.
Genuine Parts
Supply of STILL genuine spare parts and stock planning matched to your fleet.
Safety Integration
Collision avoidance, speed limiting and camera systems can be fitted to the truck at the same time.
Frequently asked questions about double stackers
Does it make sense for us?
It makes sense if you have regular, long transport runs between two points. If the route is short or variable, or the number of pallets is low, an ordinary pallet truck stays more efficient. We show this in the site analysis by comparing it with your existing run data.
Does it carry the two pallets one above the other?
That varies by model. Some bodies carry the pallets one above the other, others one behind the other. Your pallet type and load height decide which one fits.
Can it reach high racking?
The purpose of this class is carrying capacity, not height. They stack up to 2.9 metres; if you need to go higher, the stacker or reach truck class needs to be considered.
Is operator training needed?
Yes. Carrying two pallets calls for different habits from carrying one, in terms of load balance and manoeuvring. We provide training as part of the commissioning process.
