Used does not mean cheap, it means known
With a used forklift truck the real risk is not the price, it is the uncertainty. If nobody knows how many hours the truck has run, what has been replaced and what has not, you are not buying a truck, you are placing a bet.
That is why every used truck we sell takes the same route: it is overhauled in our own workshop in Kartepe, its hours are read off the meter, and the work carried out and the parts replaced are listed one by one. That list is supplied in writing with the quotation, so the truck’s history is on paper rather than in conversation.

Where buying used goes wrong
A truck that looks cheap usually makes up the difference within the first six months.

From enquiry to handover
With a used truck the process differs from a new one: first we talk about your site, then about our stock.
Defining the Requirement
We record load weight, lift height, aisle width and daily running time.
Matching Against Stock
Trucks that fit the requirement are presented together with their class; if nothing suitable is available we say so plainly.
Overhaul
The selected truck goes through the work its class calls for, in our Kartepe workshop.
Handover
The truck is handed over with its condition report and periodic inspection certificate, and the operators are briefed.
What we check on a used truck
What sets the price is not age, but where each part of the truck stands in its service life.
Operating Hours
More telling than age. Two trucks from the same year can differ by a factor of three.
Battery Condition
On an electric truck this is the single largest cost item. We do not discuss price before capacity has been measured.
Mast and Chain
Chain elongation and roller wear are measured; safety depends directly on them.
Fork Wear
Fork thickness is measured; if it is below the legal limit the fork is replaced, not used.
Operating Environment
Has it worked in a cold store or outdoors? Wear differs accordingly.
Service History
A regularly maintained truck is worth more than one with few hours and no maintenance.

Common questions
Do you give a warranty on used trucks?
Yes. Our used trucks are handed over with a warranty. The period and scope depend on the condition of the truck and on the overhaul it has had; both are stated in writing in the quotation.
How do we know the truck’s real operating hours?
Operating hours are read from the truck’s hour meter and compared with the service history. If there is any inconsistency, we tell you about it.
Is the battery priced separately?
On electric trucks the battery capacity is measured. If capacity is low, the battery is either renewed or the situation is reflected in the price; either way it is stated clearly in the quotation.
Can a used truck be rented?
Yes. Our short-term rental fleet also includes overhauled trucks. If rental suits you better than buying, we say so plainly.
Can I trade in my current truck?
We can look at it. Send us the make, model, operating hours and photographs of the truck; once it has been assessed we come back to you in writing.
