Hand Pallet Trucks
Hand Pallet Trucks
The most basic truck every warehouse should have. Low cost, simple to use, almost nothing to go wrong.
- 1 – 3 tonnes
- Manual
- Scissor lift
- With scales
- No maintenance needed
The basic truck of the warehouse
A hand pallet truck is the simplest transport truck there is: it lifts a pallet a few centimetres with a hydraulic handle and is pushed by hand. It needs no electricity, no charging and almost no maintenance.
Even in warehouses that have powered trucks, it makes sense to keep a hand pallet truck: for short single movements, for work inside a trailer and as a spare, it is still the most practical solution.
- Low investment: The lowest purchase cost of any truck class.
- Almost no maintenance: Apart from the hydraulic unit, there is little that wears.
- Works anywhere: Needs no charging, no electricity and no infrastructure.

Which work it suits
Short-Distance Transport
Movements of a few metres inside the warehouse, repeated only occasionally.
Inside the Trailer
Arranging pallets inside a truck trailer and drawing them to the door.
Retail Back Stores
Stockrooms and warehouses with limited space.
Spare Truck
Reserve capacity to step in while a powered truck is being serviced.
Which steps of the chain it covers
A hand pallet truck is used across the whole chain, for short single movements.
What decides the choice
In this class the choice follows from the special function rather than from the capacity.
Scissor Lift Models
Scissor lift models such as the HPT 10 XM raise the pallet to working height; at packing and assembly stations this removes the need to bend.
Models with Scales
The scales on the HPS 20 W allow weighing during transport and remove the need for a separate weighing station.
Fork Dimensions
Fork length and width to suit your pallet type; with non-standard pallets this should be checked in advance.
Wheel Type
Nylon or polyurethane wheels depending on the floor; the wrong choice wears both the floor and the truck.
The STILL hand pallet truck range
Four bodies from 1 to 3 tonnes, in standard, scissor lift and weighing versions.

The truck on its own is not the solution
The return on the investment depends on how well the truck fits your warehouse and your process. That is where we start.
Site Analysis
We do not recommend a truck before we have measured your aisles, racking, order profile and shift pattern.
Kartepe Workshop
Maintenance, repair and overhaul are carried out by our own technicians in our own workshop in Kartepe, an industrial region about an hour east of Istanbul.
Genuine Parts
Supply of STILL genuine spare parts and stock planning matched to your fleet.
Safety Integration
Collision avoidance, speed limiting and camera systems can be fitted to the truck at the same time.
Frequently asked questions about hand pallet trucks
We have powered trucks; will we still need a hand pallet truck?
Usually yes. For short single movements it is quicker to use a hand pallet truck than to call a powered truck over. It also provides reserve capacity while a powered truck is being serviced or charged.
What is a scissor lift pallet truck for?
It raises the pallet from the floor to working height. At packing, assembly and inspection stations it stops the operator having to bend constantly, which makes the work both faster and markedly better for the back.
How accurate is a pallet truck with scales?
Accurate enough for pre-dispatch checks and rough weighing. Applications that involve trade weighing or a legal measurement requirement need approved scales.
Does it need maintenance?
Very little. Apart from the hydraulic unit and the wheels there is almost nothing that wears. Even so, we recommend an annual check for hydraulic leaks and wheel condition; we cover this under periodic inspection.
