The class that shortens picking time
Order pickers are trucks designed for picking by case or by item. Ground-level pickers travel alongside the operator at floor level; high-level pickers raise the operator up to the racking together with the goods.
The purpose of this class is not to carry loads but to shorten the picking run. Because most of the picking time is spent getting to the goods, having the truck move with the operator saves time directly.

What decides the choice
The choice of order picker follows from the picking height and the structure of the run.

The truck follows the operator automatically, so the operator does not get on and off at every location. This is the feature that delivers the clearest gain on long runs.
Ground Level or High Level
For floor-level picking, ground-level models are enough; if locations above floor level are used, a high-level picker is needed.
Ergonomics
A low step height and a low platform reduce fatigue when getting on and off hundreds of times a day.
Guidance Integration
Can work with voice and light-directed picking systems; this lowers the error rate.

Frequently asked questions about order pickers
Does iGo neo really make a difference?
On long picking runs it makes a clear difference. Instead of getting on and off the truck at every location, the operator picks on foot and the truck follows. The longer the run, the greater the gain; on very short runs the advantage is limited.
Should we buy a ground-level or a high-level picker?
The picking height decides. If you pick only at floor level, ground-level models are enough and much more economical. If you also pick from locations above floor level, moving to a high-level picker instead of working from a ladder is both faster and safer.
We pick from ladders; is that risky?
It is. Falls from height account for a significant share of warehouse accidents, and picking from a ladder is both slow and difficult in terms of legal liability. A high-level picker is the purpose-designed solution for this work.
How can we reduce our picking errors?
The truck on its own does not change the error rate; the guidance system does. Set up together with voice or light-directed picking, returns caused by the wrong item or the wrong quantity go down.
Is there a chance to try one?
