Machine – Machine Interaction
Machine – Machine Interaction
Trucks see each other. The UWB-based collision avoidance system detects approaching machines and limits them to a safe speed in two stages.
- UWB proximity detection
- AI at the edge
- AGV / AMR compatible
- No network needed
Before two trucks meet at a blind junction
The machine collision avoidance system uses high-precision UWB technology to detect how close other trucks are. When they come nearer than a pre-set distance, the system limits both trucks to a safe speed in two stages.
The AI-powered vehicle gateway processes data at the edge and calculates collision risk in real time, while audible and visual signals alert the operator to trucks nearby.
- Real-time risk calculation: Edge processing means decisions without delay.
- Two-stage intervention: First a warning, then speed limiting.
- Brand independent: Compatible with machines of any type or make, as well as AGVs and AMRs.

The biggest risk in a busy fleet: truck-to-truck contact
Rack ends, doorways and narrow aisles are exactly where two trucks notice each other at the last moment.
- At blind junctions the oncoming truck simply cannot be seen.
- A tall load blocks the view ahead.
- Autonomous vehicles (AGVs/AMRs) share the same space as manned trucks.
- Downtime and repair costs after an impact are high.
- 360° proximity detection covers every direction.
- The operator is warned by an audible and visual signal.
- Trucks drop to a safe speed automatically, in two stages.
- Trucks of different makes and types all come together in one system.
From detection to speed limiting
The system works indoors and outdoors with no cellular or Wi-Fi connection.
Vehicle unit
Each truck is fitted with a UWB gateway and an in-cab warning unit.
Distance measurement
Trucks continuously measure each other’s position and distance.
Risk calculation
AI running at the edge calculates collision risk instantly.
Intervention
At the defined distance a warning is given and, if needed, speed is limited.
Designed for mixed fleets
From forklift trucks to autonomous mobile robots, every vehicle type speaks the same safety language.
360° detection
Other trucks are detected in every direction around the vehicle.
Edge processing
The decision is made on the truck itself, with no dependence on a central server.
Works without a network
No cellular or Wi-Fi infrastructure required.
Multiple zones
Different distance and speed rules are easy to configure.
AGV / AMR compatibility
Works together with automated guided vehicles and mobile robots.
Expandable
Shares the same infrastructure as pedestrian tags and zone anchors.
Anywhere several trucks share the same space
Warehouses with Busy Fleets
Prevents truck-to-truck contact at rack ends and aisle crossings.
Automated Areas
Manages manned and autonomous vehicles under the same safety rules.
Doorways and Dock Approaches
Slows the truck in advance where vehicles pass each other.
Open Yards
Works in areas with no network infrastructure at all.
Trucks notice each other even when they cannot see each other.
- 360° truck-to-truck proximity detection with UWB.
- Real-time risk calculation with AI at the edge.
- Compatible with machines of any make, plus AGVs and AMRs.
