The class between the pallet truck and the forklift truck
Stackers lift a pallet from the floor into the racking without taking up as much room as a counterbalance forklift truck. The operator either walks behind the truck (pedestrian models) or stands on a platform on the truck.
They are designed for racking at medium height and for warehouses with limited manoeuvring space. Where a forklift truck is more than you need and a pallet truck is not enough, this is the right class.

What decides the choice
Two questions decide the choice in this class: will the operator walk, and how high do you need to lift.
Pedestrian and Stand-On
Over short distances a pedestrian model is enough; as the distance grows, a stand-on model reduces operator fatigue markedly.
Mast Options
Telescopic, HiLo and triplex masts let you match the lift height to your racking and ceiling.
Free Lift
Allows lifting without extending the mast, in low-ceilinged areas and when working inside a trailer.
Compact Body
Easy manoeuvring in confined spaces such as narrow aisles and lifts.

Frequently asked questions about stackers
Should we buy a pedestrian or a stand-on model?
The transport distance decides. If the distance is short and there are few movements, a pedestrian model is enough and costs less. If the operator covers ground with the truck all day, a stand-on model is both faster and markedly easier at the end of a shift.
Why are the SF models different?
SF models have a folding stand-on platform. The operator walks with the truck on short moves and rides on the platform over longer distances, which is faster and less tiring by the end of a shift.
Can we buy a stacker instead of a forklift truck?
If your racking is around 5 metres, your loads are under 2 tonnes and you have no outdoor use, in most cases yes — both the investment and the running costs will be lower. If one of those three conditions does not hold, the forklift truck class needs to be considered.
Can it work inside a trailer?
Models with free lift can. Because they lift the load under a low ceiling without extending the mast, stacking inside a trailer is possible.
How does maintenance compare with a forklift truck?
It is simpler. With fewer moving parts and a lighter hydraulic load, the list of scheduled maintenance items is also shorter.
