Short-Term Rental
Short-Term Rental
For requirements of up to 12 months. Seasonal peaks, project work or cover for a truck waiting in service — a rental truck that is commissioned quickly, with maintenance included.

- Quick commissioning
- Maintenance included
- Seasonal peaks
- Project work
A temporary requirement does not call for a permanent truck
Short-term rental is set up for requirements of up to 12 months. We meet it most often in three situations: shipping volumes that rise in a certain part of the year, a project with a fixed duration, or the need to cover for a truck waiting in service.
Because the term is short, trucks are supplied mainly from stock, which shortens the time to commissioning. Maintenance and normal repairs are included in the rental rate, and the truck is handed over with its statutory periodic inspection done.
- Quick commissioning: Trucks are supplied mainly from stock.
- Inspection done: The truck is handed over with its statutory periodic inspection completed.
- Maintenance included: Maintenance and normal repairs are our responsibility for the whole rental period.

Looking for a permanent answer to a temporary peak
Buying a truck for a three-month requirement means leaving that truck idle for nine.
- During the peak there are not enough trucks and shipments run late.
- A truck is waiting in service and there is nothing to put in its place.
- A truck bought for a fixed-term project sits idle once the project ends.
- A truck is found at short notice, but its inspection and maintenance status is unclear.
- Operators are given no training on the rented truck.
- As many trucks as the peak requires are rented, for as long as it lasts.
- A replacement truck can be provided for the time your own truck is in service.
- The contract term matches the project term; the truck goes back afterwards.
- The truck is handed over with its periodic inspection done and its maintenance up to date.
- At handover, operators are taken through basic operation and the safety points.
From enquiry to handover
On a short term what counts is speed, so we have kept the process short.
Defining the requirement
Load type, lift height, working area and duration are clarified by phone or on site.
Matching the truck
The most suitable capacity and specification are selected from the trucks in stock.
Handover
The truck is delivered to site with its periodic inspection done and its maintenance up to date.
Rental period
For the whole period, maintenance and normal repairs are our responsibility.
Return or extension
At the end of the term the truck goes back; if the requirement continues, the term is extended or moved to a long term.
Short term or long term
The question that decides it: will this requirement run past 12 months?
| Criterion | Short term (up to 12 months) | Long term (over 12 months) |
|---|---|---|
| Typical use | Seasonal peaks, project work, cover for a truck in service | Permanent fleet requirement |
| Truck supply | Mainly from stock | Configured for your operation |
| Time to commissioning | Short | Depends on the lead time |
| Attachments and special equipment | If available | ✓ |
| Maintenance and repair included | ✓ | ✓ |
| Statutory periodic inspection tracking | ✓ | ✓ |
| Fixed monthly rate | ✓ | ✓ |
| Monthly unit cost | Higher | Lower |
| Truck renewal during the contract | – | ✓ |
On a short term the monthly unit cost is higher; what you get for it is flexibility and quick commissioning. If the requirement is permanent, a long term is always the more sensible option.
What the monthly rate covers
On a short term too, the truck is not handed over ‘as is’.
Maintenance
Maintenance is our responsibility for the whole rental period.
Normal repairs
Repair of faults arising from normal use is included in the rental rate.
Periodic inspection
The truck is handed over with its statutory inspection done.
Briefing at handover
Operators are taken through the truck’s operation and its safety points at handover.
The number to call when it is urgent
On a short term the value comes from how quickly the truck starts working.
Our own service
The rental trucks are maintained and inspected by our own team in Kartepe; the preparation before handover is in our hands.
Authorised dealer
As an authorised STILL Arser dealer we have direct access to trucks and genuine parts.
Replacement truck
While a truck from your own fleet is waiting in service, we can provide a rental truck in its place.
Move to a long term
If the requirement becomes permanent, you can move to a long-term contract with the same contact.
Frequently asked questions about short-term rental
What is the shortest term we can rent for?
We set up short-term rental for requirements of up to 12 months. The lower limit depends on the requirement; we work both for a peak of a few weeks and for an eleven-month project.
How quickly is the truck delivered?
On a short term the trucks come mainly from stock, so delivery is quick. The exact time depends on the truck type you ask for and on stock at that moment; once we have the requirement we give a firm date.
Who is responsible for maintenance and repair?
We are. For the whole rental period, maintenance and repairs arising from normal use are included in the rental rate. Damage from operator error or accidents is outside the scope; those cases are defined in the contract.
Will you provide a replacement truck while our own truck is in service?
Yes. If the service is going to take longer, we can provide a short-term rental truck in its place, so the operation does not stop. For customers with a service contract this arrangement moves faster.
What happens if the term runs longer?
The contract can be extended. If it becomes clear that the requirement will run past 12 months, we suggest moving to long-term rental; the monthly unit cost drops noticeably.
For how long, and which truck do you need?
Tell us the load type, the lift height and the duration; we will come back with a delivery date based on current stock.
